Active partner schools in every autonomous community. Below are the cities we place into most often. Each has its own pace, climate, and cost of living.

A view of Madrid, Spain
No. 01Madrid, España

Madrid

The capital, and the easiest landing for first-time movers. A dense network of bilingual schools and language academies, an international airport, and a metro that runs late enough for the kind of dinners Madrid is known for. Cost of living is the highest in Spain outside of central Barcelona, but salaries reflect it.

A view of Barcelona, Spain
No. 02Barcelona, España

Barcelona

Mediterranean, multilingual, and the most international classroom culture in the country. Many schools teach in Catalan as well as Spanish and English, so you'll pick up a second language by accident. Expect higher rents in the centre and weekends that drift toward the beach or the Pyrenees.

No. 03Valencia, España

Valencia

A milder version of Barcelona: same sea, same climate, half the rent. Bilingual primary and secondary schools are common across the city and the surrounding Comunitat Valenciana, and the old town stays walkable. A good fit if you want sun without the price tag.

A view of Sevilla, Spain
No. 04Sevilla, España

Sevilla

The heart of Andalusia. Long lunches, real winters that still feel like spring, and a deep tradition of hosting auxiliares de conversación in publicly funded bilingual schools. Summers are hot enough to reorganise your life around the shade.

A view of Granada, Spain
No. 05Granada, España

Granada

A small city with a student population that keeps it lively year-round. Tapas are still served free with the drink, the Sierra Nevada is forty minutes away, and the cost of living is among the lowest of any major Spanish city. Placements are usually in academies and bilingual primary schools.

No. 06Málaga, España

Málaga

Coastal, sunny most of the year, and increasingly a hub for international families — which means steady demand for English-language teaching across private and bilingual schools. Mild winters, swimmable autumns, and a fast train to Sevilla and Madrid.

A view of Bilbao, Spain
No. 07Bilbao, España

Bilbao

Green hills, serious food, and a quieter pace than the south. Schools in the Basque Country often teach in Euskara as well, and English programs are well established. Rain is part of the deal; so is some of the best eating in Europe.

A view of Zaragoza, Spain
No. 08Zaragoza, España

Zaragoza

Underrated and well-connected — under ninety minutes to Madrid or Barcelona by high-speed rail. Lower cost of living, friendly bilingual schools, and a real local life that doesn't revolve around tourism. A good choice if you want to disappear into a Spanish city rather than an expat one.
